BRUNSWICK, Ohio - Brunswick's city manager James Lukas has resigned. In a letter to city council dated July 1 he announced his resignation.
Lukas has accepted a new position with the city of Sharonville, near Cincinnati.
"This was not an easy decision," said Lukas. He said accepting the new position was due to "a combination of personal and professional factors."
In his letter, Lukas went on to thank the council, mayor and employees of the city of Brunswick, as well as the "residents of this wonderful community, said Lukas."
Brunswick City Council is expected to begin the formal replacement process in the near future, which most likely will include the appointment of an interim manager.
