Elyria police arrest two women accused of running a brothel

ELYRIA, Ohio - Elyria police arrested two women on Thursday after police got a tip that they were running a brothel. Police said that The Rejuvenation Spa was being used for more than spa massages.

The spa service was advertised on Backpage under massages, said Elyria Police Capt. Chris Costantino. Costantino said the women in the advertisements appeared to be very young, under 18. "We were concerned," said Costantino. "We were worried about human trafficking," he added.

An undercover police officer called and made an appointment. The officer paid $50 for a one-hour massage. "He was told he could get extras for a hundred dollars. Extras meaning sexual favors," said Costantino.

Police arrested 61-year-old Ping Liu, and 52-year-old Yang LiIrong.  The two face solicitation and obstruction of justice charges. Both women told police they were from New York.
