Following the death of Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper, Kenneth Velez, students are planning to wear blue to Friday's Amherst High School football game versus Berea MidPark.
Velez was an Amherst parent and after learning of his passing, students took to social media to express their condolences and plan the 'blue-out.'
Velez was hit outside of his cruiser while conducting traffic enforcement. He later died of his injuries.
