Retiring Ohio State University President Gordon Gee to visit Lorain County Kiedrowski's Bakery

AMHERST, Ohio - Gordon Gee, who announced Tuesday he is stepping down as Ohio State University's president, will soon be stepping into a local bakery.

Gee, along with Brutus Buckeye, will visit Kiedrowski's Bakery Thursday, June 13 as part of their "Tour of Ohio." Kiedrowski's was chosen because of its popularity among Lorain County residents

The event is scheduled to begin at about 4:30 p.m. and also include photo opportunities with Brutus and Gee, as well as polka music.

Kiedrowski's Bakery is located at 2267 Cooper Foster Park Rd. in Amherst.

Gee first served as Ohio State's president from 1990 – January 2, 1998 and was then rehired by the school in 2007.
