Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seize $22,000 worth of marijuana from Michigan man's car

An Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers busted a Michigan man driving through Ohio with five pounds of marijuana worth more than $22,000.
According to a press release, troopers stopped a 2006 Pontiac Torrent shortly after 3 p.m. on Oct. 8 for following too closely and marked lanes violations near milepost 138 on the Ohio Turnpike in Lorain County.
A trooper smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and a probable cause search revealed five pounds of hydroponic marijuana concealed in a cardboard box worth $22,650.
The driver, Franco F. Ayobe, 54, of Farmington, Mich., was arrested and charged with drug possession and trafficking in marijuana, both third-degree felonies.
