Two siblings are dead after a shooting at an apartment in Lorain early Thursday.

Lorain police responded to an apartment at 3001 Leavitt Road around 12:30 a.m. for a reported shooting.

When officers arrived they found two men with gunshot wounds.

One of the men — later identified as  35-year-old Jose Morales — was pronounced dead at the scene. His brother — 38-year-old Angel Cruz — was taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center where he later died.

Maurice Kimbrough, 29, was arrested on charges of tampering with evidence, obstructing official business, having weapons under disability and carrying concealed weapons in connection with the shooting.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation.

These homicides mark the 8th and 9th in the city this year, most of them in the last couple of months.
