Police are investigating an attempted abduction involving a 14-year-old girl walking alone near Oberlin High School.
Oberlin Lt. Mike McCloskey said a man pulled up to the girl between 5:15 and 5:45 Monday afternoon and told her to get his vehicle. He told the girl her mother asked him to pick her up.
The girl refused and the man left the area, McCloskey said.
Authorities described the man as Hispanic, between mid 30's and early 40's in age, had buzz cut style dark hair, short facial hair and a thick accent. He was driving a dark green SUV.
