LORAIN, Ohio - A police investigation has revealed that 17-year-old Deandre McDowell of Lorain died of a single gunshot wound to his head and police have now issued a warrant for the arrest of Antonio Robles in connection to the crime.
McDowell's body was found in the 3700 block of Lexington Ave. on May 17.
Police said McDowell was not shot there but his body had been taken to the location where a passerby later found him.
An investigation determined Robles "recklessly caused" McDowell's death. A warrant for reckless homicide was issued through the Lorain Municipal Court.
Police believe Robles has fled the Lorain area.
Detectives said if you know where Robles may be, contract the Lorain Police Department at 440-204-2100. Callers can remain anonymous.
In a news release, the Lorain Police Department thanked the witnesses and citizens who came forward to assist them with the case.
