LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio - Want a free burger? Then you better buckle up. The Lorain County Safe Community Coalition is joining with 12 Lorain County McDonald’s for ‘Buckle Up for Burgers’.
At different times during the week of May 19 through 23, drive-thru customers who are caught wearing their seat belts will receive a coupon for a free hamburger and a bag of apple slices. Those not buckled up will get a friendly reminder to click it.
And it could also prevent you from getting a ticket. The week-long event is in conjunction with the national Click It or Ticket seat belt safety campaign. And beginning May 19, Lorain County Law Enforcement will be closely watching local roads for people not wearing seat belts and will issue tickets to people violating state law.
