An injured deer has been stuck on a beach in Avon Lake for over a week now.
The deer is behind the house of Anne Ryan.
Ryan said she believes she heard the deer get struck by a car nine days ago.
No one knows how the deer, which appears to have a broken left leg, made it down to the beach.
The deer has been unable to climb back up from the beach.
Ryan worries the deer hasn’t eaten and with the snowstorm coming, she’s concerned the deer has no shelter.
Tim Jasinski with the Lake Erie Nature Center, where they rescue injured animals, said the Division of Wildlife doesn’t allow them to rescue adult deer.
Jasinski said adult deer are too aggressive and don’t do well in captivity.
Ryan worries if the deer can’t find a way out, authorities will have to put the deer down, so it doesn't have to suffer.
