Corrections officer smuggles drugs to inmate

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said Marvin A. Davis was accused of smuggling drugs to inmates at the Grafton Correctional Institution.

On Thursday, the following items were found during an administrative staff inspection:

  • Two potato chips bag stapled shut, with the following contents inside:
    • Black n mild’s
    • Two small bags of marijuana and two small bags of heroin
    • Five packets of K2
    • Two bags tobaccos
    • Four grams of cocaine

Davis, 22, of Cleveland, was arrested.  He was arraigned Friday in Elyria Municipal Court on charges of possession of spice, and illegal conveyance of drugs onto grounds of a detention facility.

On Friday, Davis entered no plea for both charges. He was given a $100,000 bond for the possession charge and a $10,000 for the conveyance charge. 

Davis was scheduled to appear in court again on April 14 at 2 p.m.
