Two unsolved bank robberies have the Cleveland FBI asking for the public's help. Both bank robberies happened last year and both happened in Lorain County.
The first happened at the Chase Bank branch on East Lake Road in Sheffield Lake on September 2, 2015. Special Agent Vicki Anderson said the robber gave the teller a note demanding cash, got the money and left in a dark colored car.
He wore a dark colored hat with a camouflage brim. He also had the word "tramp" tattooed on his knuckles and appeared to have a tattoo on the left side of his neck.
"He drove up in a dark colored car with no front license plate," said Anderson. FBI said he left in the same car.
It's been almost a year since the CommStar Community Credit Union in Elyria was robbed at gunpoint. Anderson said two men walked in, one with a gun drawn. The other jumped over the counter and grabbed the cash. Both men wore bandanas on their faces, blue surgical gloves and one is described as clumsy and awkward. The two men got into a dark blue Acura which was driven by a third person.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Cleveland FBI at 216-522-1400. Reward money is available.
