Elyria Township woman calls 911 after getting foot stuck in woodchuck hole

ELYRIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A woman called 911 Friday morning after getting stuck in a woodchuck hole.

According to Elyria Township Fire Captain Brian Bell, the 58-year-old woman was out walking her three dogs at Nagy Farm's peach orchard located on Lake Avenue when she stepped into the hole that was covered by overgrown greens.

The woman called 911 and firefighters arrived at the scene and dug her foot out of the hole.

She was uninjured.

Bell told NewsChannel5 that with the recent news of a retired firefighter severely injured in a motorcycle crash, Friday's call for help was refreshing and the best call they have had all year.
