ELYRIA, Ohio - Elyria police have charged a 15-year-old with disorderly conduct for allegedly writing a threatening letter to her 84-year-old neighbor about seeing her Christmas lights up in February.
The woman, Louise Henry, got the letter on a Tuesday at her house on 15th Street.
She turned the threatening note into police on Feb. 20 that was found in her mailbox. The letter threatened Henry and expressed how angry it made the writer to see Christmas lights strung around the bushes in Febraury, according to a police report.
Below is what the note said.:
"Please take your (expletive) Christmas lights down. Christmas and New Years have already passed and is no where near. I'm tired of seein' that (expletive). Don't make me tell you again. Thanks (derogatory term)."
The name of the teen charged is not being released because she is a minor.
