Alleged Lorain gang member wanted by police, U.S. Marshals

LORAIN, Ohio - U.S. Marshals and police have already arrested 18 members of a Lorain gang and now they are looking for one more.

Earlier this month, a warrant was issued for Eric Echols, 21, for participating in a criminal gang. On May 4, Lorain police targeted 22 members of MOB, or "Member of Bloods," and caught 18 of them. According to the Lorain Police Department, MOB is responsible for nine of the last 12 murders in the city.

"We identified these individuals had committed 167 crimes and been convicted of them already," Lorain Police Chief Cel Rivera told NewsChannel5. Marshals said the gang is suspected of several violent crimes like shootings and home invasions.

Echols is 6 foot 1 and weighs 165 pounds. Marshals said they believe his is hiding in the Lorain area and was last seen in the 800 block of West 18th Street.

The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of Echols. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call 1-866-4WANTED. Tips can remain anonymous.
