About 70 people took a cold dip in Wellington Sunday to help raise money for a local teen with brain cancer.

This year's Wellington Eagles Polar Plunge raised more than $6,500 for the girl's medical care.

newsnet5.com first told you about Landry Cole last fall, when her longtime friend helped raise more than $5,000 for the girl.

Cole was diagnosed with brain cancer in December 2014. Since then, she's had a baseball-sized tumor removed from her head and multiple rounds of chemotherapy.

As her battle continues, the Wellington Eagles are raising money for her family to purchase an iSTAT machine—a $6,500 machine that can check her sodium levels at home.
