The undocumented immigrant who convicted in the aggravated murder of Margaret 'Peggy' Kostelnik in Lake County last July was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole Wednesday.
Juan Razo was also sentenced to an additional 107 years in prison.

Razo pleaded guilty last month to 16 counts including aggravated murder, rape and kidnapping.
Authorities said Razo attempted to rape a 14-year-old girl at Helen Wyman Park on July 27.
Before police could get an arrest warrant, Razo shot two other women, killing one at a nearby home and injuring the other on the park’s bike path.
Kostelnik, 60, worked as the Willoughby mayor's secretary for 27 years. She was found dead of gunshot wounds in her home.

After Razo's arrest, newsnet5.com learned that the Lake County Sheriff's Department had contact with the suspect just days before the crime spree.
Razo admitted to being in the U.S. illegally and deputies called the U.S. Border Patrol, according to a police report, but the agency decided not to respond to take Razo into custody.

According to the Lake County Prosecutor's Office, Razo was given the maximum sentence possible. He was also fined $180,000.
