Shots were fired during a botched robbery at a Chase Bank in Willoughby Hills on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Cleveland FBI reports, two suspects walked into the bank with semi-automatic and revolver pistols drawn. The men quickly approached the teller and demanded money. The teller was able to press the bank's security alarm before fumbling with the keys to the money drawer.

One suspect indicated that he knew what she was doing, and both men began to back away from the window. The suspect brandishing the revolver fired his weapon, striking the bulletproof window. Both suspects then fled the bank with no money.

The suspects are described by authorities as black men, each about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing around 160 pounds. Both men wore zippered grey hooded sweatshirts and dark pants. One suspect wore a blue bandana over his face and the other wore a red one.

No injuries were reported by the Cleveland Division of the FBI. Officials are unaware if the suspects used a vehicle to flee the scene.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the attempted robbery or the suspects' identity to contact the Willoughby Hills Police Department or the Cleveland Division of the FBI. Officials say tips can remain anonymous and reward money is available for information that leads to the identification and prosecution of the suspects.
