A black bear was spotted in Montville Township Thursday morning.
WICKLIFFE, Ohio - A Lake County black bear spotting has now been caught on video.
An employee who wished to remain anonymous emailed NewsChannel5 the video of a black bear climbing a fence in Wickliffe.
It was captured on a surveillance camera at the Lubrizol Corporation on Sunday, June 2.
Bear sightings have been reported to police across Lake County in the past few days. Officers reported a black bear inside a Willoughby autobody shop Monday.
Police said the bear was also spotted near Kirkland High School, a BP gas station and along Ridge Road, as well as on Worden Road in Wickliffe.
Then on Tuesday, a bear was seen by a woman leaving her home in the area of Deepwood Boulevard and OH-84 in Mentor.
If you see the bear, authorities urge you to not approach it. The bears are generally fearful of people and will avoid contact.
