Police warn of bottle bombs in Madison Township

MADISON TWP., Ohio - Madison Township police issued an alert after a series of bottle bomb explosions throughout the city.

Officers say they identified six Madison Township juvenile suspects after receiving two complaints of bottle bombs being deployed and exploding.

The bombs are made from household items. As they explode, chemicals are dispersed through the air posing a potential threat if the chemicals are ingested.

According to police, the use or making of these bottle bombs is considered a felony.

Officers are working to complete a comprehensive incident report and then plan to request charges be filed against the juveniles with the Lake County Prosecutor's Office.
