CONCORD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A crash at the Lake-Geauga county line has left a man dead.
Saturday evening, 33-year-old Paul L. Widdowson, of Painesville, was going northbound on State Route 608 on his Suzuki GSX 600 when he crossed over the center line and hit a 2001 Toyota Camry head-on, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
Widdowson was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash, troopers said.
The driver and passenger in the Toyota were not injured. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Concord Township Fire and EMS assisted with scene control as well as the Ohio Park Rangers with traffic control.
The patrol said speed is believed to be a factor in the crash. This crash remains under investigation.
