A Euclid man is facing rape charges in connection with the disappearance of a 12-year-old girl in Willowick.

The girl went missing on Sept. 24. Police said she was last seen riding her bike to her friend's house, but never made it.

She was found Sept. 27 at a house on South Lakeshore Boulevard in Euclid. News 5 identified the girl while she was missing but is now withholding her name because she is the victim of an alleged rape.

Timothy Anderson, 25, was taken into custody at the Euclid home. He is charged with one count of rape and is being held on $100,000 bond.

Police said the girl was using the app Kik, but have not said what if any role it played in her disappearance.
