Flooded streets, lawns and even a makeshift river on Vrooman Road in Lake County.

Several communities in Greater Cleveland were under flood and flash flood warnings Thursday.

Mike Ponsart, a Lake County resident with temporary waterfront property, told News 5 there are drivers who ignore all the 'Road Closed' signs.

"It's pretty bad, as you can see, and people still drive through," he said.

A few miles away from Ponsart, the Mayor of Eastlake told News 5 they shared a warning people couldn't ignore, as the Chagrin River continued to rise.

"Keep your kids away, keep your adults away... if you fall in this? See the speed of the water? You really have no chance," he said.
