EASTLAKE, Ohio - Eastlake police had their hands full around 3 a.m. Thursday morning when one drunk driver decided to knock over some fences before coming to a stop - only because of a flat tire.
Police first spotted the 24-year-old male driver traveling westbound at a high speed on Vine Street.
The driver then lost control of his vehicle and went into the parking lot of a Walgreens store, knocking over several metal fences and striking a brick pillar.
The driver hopped back onto the roadway, now traveling the wrong way on State Route 91. The male driver traveled back and forth over the roadways median.
Police caught up with the driver when his vehicle came to a rest just a few streets away from the Walgreens. His vehicle sustained a flat tire and front end damage.
The driver blew a .194 during a field breathalyzer test. He was charged with OVI, hit-skip and several traffic violations.
