Donation jar stolen in Mentor Amvets break in

Amvets Post 40 in Mentor was broken into late last Friday night, Mentor police reported.

According to a post on the Mentor Police Department's Facebook page, two suspects forced entry into the building, and stole a donation jar and broke into game machines.

Amvets is a congressionally charted American Veteran's organization that helps veterans in all aspects of their lives. On its website, the organization said it helps active and honorably discharged military members find jobs and file disability claims. 

Mentor police are still searching for the suspects, and are seeking the public's assistance in identifying them. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Patrolman Raymond O'Brien at 440-974-5760 and reference report number 16-20316.
