Detectives, US Marshals arrest woman responsible for stealing donation jars from Mentor Speedway

MENTOR, Ohio - Detectives and U.S. Marshals arrested the woman responsible for stealing the donation jars from the Mentor Speedway on March 9 and 10 .

Authorities found 23-year-old Angel Laquatra hiding in the basement of a home on Center Street in Mentor.

Laquatra was arrested and charged with theft. Mentor police say she will also face drug charges for items found during the arrest.

The donation jars were intended for patients at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital.

During the investigation police also discovered Laquatra's sister, Leah Laquatra had a Mentor warrant as well as her boyfriend, William Hurt. Both were taken into custody by police.

Police are now also searching for Laquatra's father, Thomas Laquatra has warrants out for his arrest for failure to pay child support out of Lake and Cuyahoga counties.

Anyone with information about Thomas' whereabouts are asked to call the U.S. Marshals office at 1-866-4WANTED.
