GRAND RIVER, Ohio - A separate kitchen and bar area of River Street's Pickle Bill's Lobster House broke away Saturday morning and floated down Grand River into Perry Township.
Pickle Bill's manager said the barge broke free around 9:30 a.m. due to the high water currents and was located by the Coast Guard later in the afternoon.
The manager said the barge contains a kitchen and bar which was used for cocktails and it was not attached to the restaurant. No one was on it when it floated away.
The manager said the marine contractor will retrieve the barge Sunday once the wave currents settle.
The restaurant's business was not affected by this incident. It's open as usual.
