WILLARD, Ohio - Some good news for Willard residents displaced by Wednesday's toxic chemical spill.
CSX, the company that owns the railcar involved with the spill, is offering to reimburse people forced from their homes.
However, residents on Pleasant Street have not been allowed back into their homes. No timetable was provided for their return.
In the meantime, the company is opening up an Outreach Center at Christian Alliance Church in Willard to meet with evacuees and discuss compensation.
Health and safety staff from CSX will also be available to answer questions.
The center is open Saturday, November 30, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Christian Alliance Church at 1609 Conwell Avenue.
Residents are encouraged to bring ID and proof of residency as well as any receipts that document expenses made because of the evacuation.
