Three adults and a child were assisted to safety early Saturday morning after their sailing vessel ran aground in Lake Erie near Put-In-Bay.
U.S. Coast Guards said a search-and-rescue coordinator received a distress call around 12:30 a.m. from the captain of a 32-foot sailing vessel, reporting that their prop was fouled and they had ran aground.
A rescue boating crew responded to the scene to find four boaters. The rescue crew brought the three adults and child to the Station Marblehead, where they caught a taxi cab.
No injuries were reported.
The Coast Guards said crews salvaged the sailing vessel later Saturday morning and then towed it to Catawba Moorings in Port Clinton.
