The first victim to die, Danny Parmertor, was laid to rest Saturday. Thousands of people stood outside the church linking hands. They were there to block a possible protest by the Westboro Church but the protestors never showed up.
Four young ones also did something to remember the victims. Over the weekend, they braved the cold to sell ribbons. Cars lined up and stopped all weekend on Wetzel Avenue in Cleveland.
They said they will also come back Monday. The ribbons go for 50 cents a piece and all the money goes to the Chardon Healing fund.
