Police and residents of a retirement community were stunned that a 64-year-old Northern California man arrested during a traffic stop was accused of cooking methamphetamine inside his apartment at the facility for seniors.
MIDDLEFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Investigators spent Friday night collecting evidence from a methamphetamine lab in Geauga County.
Sheriff's deputies searched a car leaving a house on Route 87 in Middlefield Township and found a small amount of meth inside, the sheriff's office said.
Detectives from the Geauga County Sheriff's Office, the Lake County Narcotics Unit and Drug Enforcement Administration responded to the scene and executed a search warrant on the house.
A 47-year-old man was arrested and deputies said they are looking for other persons of interest. The suspect will likely be charged on Monday.
Members of the narcotics unit, who are trained on meth labs, collected evidence for prosecution.
The Geauga County Sheriff's Office said deputies were investigating the property after getting information from the community.
