A man is dead after his car crashed into a concrete culvert and caught on fire Saturday night.
The man, Ian Foster of Painesville, Ohio, was driving south on State Route 528 at around 9:33 p.m. when his car traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a concrete culvert. It then caught fire.
The Geauga County Sheriff's Office, Montville Volunteer Fire Department, Middle Field Fire Department and Community Care Ambulance service all responded to the scene.
Foster sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. He was wearing a seatbelt, and it's unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
