Hundreds mourn Chardon shooting victim Danny Parmertor

CHARDON, Ohio - Hundreds of mourners waited in a steady rain outside an Eastlake funeral home on Friday night to pay their respects to shooting victim Danny Parmertor.

Just hours earlier in the day, students returned to their classrooms just days after the shooting at Chardon High School, which claimed the lives of three teen boys.

The funeral mass for 16-year-old Parmertor is Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Church of Saint Mary in Chardon.

The funeral procession will leave Monreal Funeral Home on Curtis Boulevard in Eastlake at about 8:30 a.m. The procession will take Meadowlands Drive to Fifth Avenue before arriving at the church. After the mass, there will be a graveside service at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.

Demetrius Hewlin's visitation is Monday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Burr Funeral Home in Chardon. His funeral is set for Tuesday morning at 10 at St. Mary's Church.

Visiting hours for Russell King will be Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Burr Funeral Home with his funeral Thursday at 10 a.m. That service will also be at St. Mary's Church.
