Geauga Co. Sheriff's say drug bust in Newbury Township may be one of the largest in state of Ohio

NEWBURY TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Police in Geauga County said in a press conference Friday the drug bust police made at a Newbury home may be one of the biggest busts in the state of Ohio and certainly in the county. 

The sheriff's office raided a suspected drug house Thursday at 15590 Park View Drive. 

Four people have been taken into custody in connection with the bust, according to police

During the raid, the sheriff's office seized 30 pounds of marijuana, three pounds of crystal meth, multiple assault rifles and a large amount of cash.

The sheriff's office said the street value of the drugs seized was nearly $1.5 million.
