Four arrested in connection with Newbury Pharmacy armed robbery

NEWBURY, Ohio - Four people were arrested in connection with an armed robbery at the Newbury Pharmacy.

The pharmacy located at 10758 Kinsman Road was robbed around 9:45 a.m. Thursday.

Police said the suspects demanded drugs and displayed a gun, but no one was hurt.

At a Friday news conference, the Geauga County Sheriff's Department said that Jonathan Moore, 25, Joshua Moore, 20, Zachary Tiggs, 21, and an unnamed 17-year-old boy who was armed with a handgun during the time of the robbery, had all been arrested.

According to deputies, one suspect fled the scene in a car and a witness obtained the registration of the car and informed police.

With the help of the media broadcasting information about the car and suspect description, a Geauga County resident who works at Junction Auto Sales noticed the car had recently been serviced.

The Junction Auto Sales employee contacted the sheriff's office and gave deputies an Ashtabula County address of the recent customer.

Sheriff's went to the address and found the getaway car with two suspects inside, cousins Jonathon and Joshua.

Both were arrested and interviewed.

Sheriff's said they found out that two other suspects had been dropped off at a Greyhound Bus Station in Cleveland and were en route to Detroit.

Sheriff's contacted the Michigan State Police which apprehended Tiggs and the juvenile at the Greyhound in Detroit as they exited the bus.
