GEAUGA COUNTY, Ohio - About a month ago 16 cats were rescued from horrifying conditions in a Geauga County garage and now the humane society needs help.
The Geauga Humane Society said the black cats were discovered on June 16. The garage was extremely hot, and the cats were covered in feces.
Just two months prior, the humane society rescued 15 German Shepherds from terrible conditions.
"These cats are victims of trauma, and will need kind, patient individuals to adopt and work with them, similar to the rescued shepherds. These cats deserve no less help than what was, and is still being offered to the shepherds," cat behaviorist at the humane society Wendy Grellinger said.
Some of the cats are up for adoption and the Geauga Humane Society is accepting donations for their care through Project SAVE to www.geaugahumane.org
