The father of a small child was arrested Wednesday for child endangering after the boy was found roaming around a park in Sandusky.

Jeremy Quillen was charged with child endangering after his 10-month-old son was found by a construction worker crawling around a park, according to a Sandusky police incident report.

It is unclear how long the child was wandering in the park, police said.

The construction worker took the child home and called the police.

During the investigation, officers posted the child’s picture on the department's social media account. After the mother saw the boy's photo on Facebook, she contacted police. She said she was working out of town and said Quillen was taking care of the child. She did not know why the child why was in the park.

Quillen was later located unconscious and needed to be transported to a local hospital for treatment. It is unknown why Quillen was unconscious, but statements were given to police about possible drug use.  He was being held at the Erie County jail on the endangerment charge.
