Tow truck driver transported by helicopter ambulance after hit by car on Sandusky highway

HURON TWP., Ohio - A man sustained life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a car while he was towing a disabled vehicle in Huron Township.

Ohio State Highway Patrol officers said that the tow truck driver, Scott A. Farrell, 55, of Sandusky, was in the shoulder of State Route 2 near State Route 13 assisting with another crash when he was struck by a Dodge Nitro SUV that lost control and slid.

This crash is still under investigation.
