SANDUSKY, Ohio - Sandusky police are investigating a home burglary where $20,000 cash was reported stolen.
The burglary happened in the 2200 block of Cedar Point Drive on April 6.
Lt. Phil Frost of the Sandusky Police Department said the burglary was reported days later by a caretaker who was watching the house while the homeowners were away in Florida.
On April 7, the caretaker found a bedroom screen had been cut and window unlocked.
The caretaker called the homeowners to tell them about the incident. That's when they asked she check the dresser drawer to see if the $20,000 cash was missing, according to a police report.
Detectives are looking for leads.
