SANDUSKY, Ohio - Disaster Transport, the only indoor roller coaster at Cedar Point, takes off for the final time Sunday night during a mission deemed solely for the kids.
The "level 4" thrill ride takes you through two minutes of dark twisting tunnels in space.
The 40 mph cosmo "space ship" carries 10 passengers, making this intermediate thrill ride a great mission for the whole family.
Disaster Transport will be dismantled to make room for "bigger and better thrills coming next season," a news release from Cedar Point stated.

Not only will ride-goers become a part of the amusement park's history Sunday evening, they also raised money for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families, helping them make lasting memories.
From 10:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., the ride closes to the public and those who fundraised get exclusive time on Disaster Transport for a final "Trip to Alaska."
A final lap with the lights on will happen at 11:40 p.m. for the top 50 participants who raised the most money.
