#2) General admission tickets are discounted to $39.99.
We're checking up on the charity event that was scheduled for yesterday and whether it will be rescheduled.

Update 5:54 p.m. June 7, 2014: Here is a statement NewsChannel5 just received from Cedar Point, updating us on the water main break issue:

We continue to work with the City of Sandusky to restore water service to Cedar Point. The latest assessment is that the necessary repairs will require several more hours to complete. Once the water main is repaired, there are additional procedures that must be taken to restore water pressure to all areas on the property, and testing that must follow to ensure the systems are working properly and the appropriate water quality is established.

At this time we have made the decision to keep the park and resort properties closed until Monday, June 9th when – subject to any unforeseen complications – we would anticipate resuming normal operations.  As the repairs advance throughout the evening and into Sunday we will provide additional updates.

We recognize that this situation has caused many of our guests to be disappointed.  We are sorry that this has happened.

All Cedar Point tickets will be honored on any operating day in 2014 where the park is open to the public.

Cedar Point is closed Saturday due to a water main break.

Early Saturday morning, the City of Sandusky experienced a water main break on the main line that supplies water to the park, according to a Cedar Point spokesperson.

The spokesperson adds that without Cedar Point’s normal water supply, and due to safety concerns, the park is unable to open Saturday and Sunday.

The Cedar Point Resorts properties on the peninsula, which include Hotel Breakers, Sandcastle Suites and Lighthhouse Point, will be closed Saturday night, June 7 and Sunday night, June 8. Guests can contact the reservation office at 419-627-2106 to cancel or reschedule your reservation. Castaway Bay Indoor Waterpark Resort and Breakers Express remain open.

CoasterMania! and Coasting For Kids events were scheduled to take place at the park this weekend.

All guest tickets will be honored on future dates this season, according to Cedar Point's website.

Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) officials were also urging motorist to avoid the area Saturday since traffic became congested when drivers were exiting the Cedar Point Causeway.

Crews are in the area attempting to repair the water main.
