7 people shot early Sunday morning outside Sandusky after-hours club, 1 man badly beaten

SANDUSKY, Ohio - Seven people were shot overnight, and a man was badly beaten outside of a Sandusky after-hours club.

Around 4 a.m. Sunday, police responded to Geno’s Party Center, located in the 1600 block of Cleveland Road, for a report of a large group of subjects in a parking lot, according to Sandusky police. Geno's used to be DJs Sports Bar.

When officers arrived, police said they heard multiple shots fired in the area. Two shooting victims and an unresponsive man were found in the parking lot. The unresponsive man had been severely beaten, according to police.

The initial victims were transported to the hospital by ambulance. Police said the man, who had been beaten, was then flown to another hospital with life-threatening injuries.

During the police department’s investigation, it was learned that five more victims showed up at the hospital with gunshots wounds. They all claimed to have been shot at Geno’s. The conditions of the seven shooting victims have not been released.

Police are still trying to determine what prompted the violence. No arrests have been made.
