WESTLAKE, Ohio -
UPDATE: Devon Smith was found safe on Sunday, March 10, 2013. Read updated story here:
The FBI and the Westlake Police Department are asking for the public's help locating a 14-year-old Hathaway Brown Student.
According to police, 14-year-old Devon Smith was last seen being dropped off from her school's bus at her Westlake home on Muirfield Way on Friday around 4:30 p.m.
Her parents were home at the time she was dropped off and police said neighbors saw her get off the bus, but Smith has not been heard from or seen since then and was reported missing at 8 p.m. Friday.
Police say she could be upset over school issues. She is currently considered as an endangered runaway and foul play is not suspected at this time.
Smith is described as a white female 5'6" tall, 120 lbs, blond curly shoulder length hair, brown eyes. She was wearing a blue Hathaway Brown sweatshirt, grey jeans, tan topsider-style shoes, a quilted black jacket, and a green backpack.
Devon's friends are all East Side residents; Hathaway Brown School emailed the parents of her classmates alerting them to her missing status.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call Westlake PD at 440.871.3311 or the local law enforcement agency for that location.
