The football team of Notre Dame College put down the pigskin and picked up paint brushes for a stranger they have never met.
They set out to tackle a big project, one that will give a deserving veteran a place to call home.
"It's an opportunity for our guys to give back," said head football coach, Mike Jacobs.
It's the third year these fighting falcons have turned a house into a home.
Players, along with help from Purple Heart Homes, will make a veteran's return home a little easier.
For defensive lineman Keonte Chambers, this volunteer work hits close to home.
"My father is actually in the service, so knowing I am helping someone who's doing the same thing as my father makes me feel great," said Chambers.
Rychlik is set to return home to Cleveland next week after graduating from an Air Force program at Fort Meade in Maryland.
"I am astonished how Purple Heart Homes is going out of their way to help out," said Rychlik. "I'm very grateful and humbled over the fact they're doing this."
