One day after a ditch at a construction site swallowed multiple cars trying to leave a parking lot on W. 130th Street, surveillance video at a Cleveland convenience store caught one of the construction workers on the project buying beer while in uniform.

The video captures a man in his construction vest buying a Bud Light around noon on Wednesday from the Giant Mart sure at 4200 W. 130th Street. The owner says he’s seen it before.

“Wake up. Tax Dollars are going for what? For this kind of behavior?” Mo Dayum said.

The repaving is part of a $5.9 million project that will continue through 2017. On Tuesday, video showed multiple cars driving right into a ditch in a parking lot next to the store. Caution tape went up only after those cars were damaged.

Perk Construction of Cleveland is running the project. When reached at their office, a man who answered the door refused to answer News 5’s questions.
