Cleveland police do not believe the murders of two suburban women whose bodies were found in the city were connected.

"There is no evidence supporting that, " said Cleveland Police Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia.

The body of Natalie Perez was found in an abandoned house on East 143rd Street in Cleveland on Saturday. A group of teenagers spotted Perez's body.

Jessica Coleman's body was found near railroad tracks near East 83rd Street and Holton Avenue.

Perez disappeared on her 21st birthday after having an argument with her family. Her mother begged anyone who knew anything to come forward. "Somebody had to see something," said Erica Perez.

Perez was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, said Erica Perez.

Police have not made an arrest in the murders of either woman.

Three women were found dead on East 93rd Street in the spring of 2013, Jazmine Trotter, Christine Malone and Ashley Leszyeski. Their murders have never been solved.

"You're throwing them out like trash. These are mothers, daughters, aunts," said Cleveland City Councilman Zack Reed.

Reed also said he plans on recognizing the teenagers who found Perez's body and alerted police.
