Two men walk into Charter One in Bedford with gun in attempted robbery, leave without cash, FBI says

BEDFORD, Ohio - Bedford police are searching for two suspects in an attempted bank robbery that took place around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at a Charter One Bank branch.

One man pulled out a semiautomatic handgun inside the Broadway Avenue location, but the FBI said the two left without taking any money.

According to the FBI, the men may have noticed a person withdrawing money from an ATM and decided to flee.

The first suspect, who was seen carrying a gun, in his early 20s with a dark colored hooded sweatshirt on with the hood drawstrings pulled tightly and a white cloth over his face.

The second suspect was also in his early 20s with a grey colored hooded sweatshirt. The FBI said he was carrying a black backpack and wearing white gloves.

Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to call Bedford police or the Cleveland Division of the FBI at 216-522-1400.
