Two people are still at large after they escaped from the Judge Nancy R. McDonnell Community Based Correctional Facility, 3540 Croton Ave., Cleveland, early morning on Jan. 31, according to The Oriana House.

The Oriana House, which operates the CBCF, said Lavelle Tucker and Tyshawn Shepard escaped through a window that was broken from the inside by a pool table ball. The ball was reportedly snuck into the dorm from the common area of the CBCF.

Since the escape all pool balls and sticks have been removed from the premises but the window the two escaped out of still has not been fixed.

The CBCF serves as a half-way house –an alternative to probation and jail – and the people who reside in the facility are referred to as clients instead of inmates or prisoners.

It took the staff about 10 minutes from the time the two escaped to notice their disappearance, officials said at a press conference on Feb. 3.

According to records the facility has had clients escape in the past. In 2015, 62 people escaped from the facility, officials said.
