Three children told to get into van in attempted abduction in Euclid

EUCLID, Ohio - Euclid police were called to Arbor Elementary School after three children reported that a man tried to lure them into his vehicle.

The children were walking to school when a man in a white van approached them near East 215 Street and Naumann Avenue between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. Sept. 26, according to the police report. He told them to get into the van, but the kids ran toward school, and the suspect took off, turning onto East 215th Street.

The suspect is described as a white man with "spiky, messed up gray hair," according to the children in the police report.

Arbor Elementary and the Euclid School District sent out an informational call to all parents informing them about the situation, the Arbor Elementary principal tells police.

Police also checked the area for a suspect and van.
