Thousands gathered at Euclid High Schools Homecoming game to honor their fallen teammate, Andre Jackson.

Jackson died from injuries sustained during the Sept. 23 game against Solon. He suffered blunt trauma to his abdomen and died in the days that followed.

Originally, Coach Jeff Rotsky said he doubted the team would take the field this week against Strongsville. Both team's and Euclid's community rallied around the tragic loss and showed up in force for the game.

Euclid players wore patches with No. 24, Jackson's number, on their jerseys to honor their fallen teammates.

Euclid beat Strongsville 41-0 in the game.
